MapFusion’s iWAY™ is a routing sub-system that takes advantage of MapFusion’s existing iSPACE™ and iSEE™ architecture.
The technology creates point-to-point and multi-point routes based on user-specified origins, destinations, route attributes, and other amenity factors. It calculates the shortest and the fastest route, and it considers supporting information, such as road type, road closure, and weight, height and turn restrictions. It interacts with a wide variety of supporting data, including demographic information, and delivers the desired route in an extremely short timeframe. The system is dynamic as it generates routes for users in real-time based on data changes.
Since the system takes into account each road segment in the map, temporary road conditions such as road closures and construction can be immediately flagged. This gives users a visual indication of certain relevant information that is taken into account during desired route processing.
